When you install an iron fence, you expect it to do more than look good. For homeowners, it’s about protecting your property and boosting curb appeal without worrying about rust or repainting every few years. For contractors, it’s about finishing a job on time and knowing that the fence you installed will last, keeping clients happy long after you leave the site.

The problem? Too many fences on the market cut corners, leaving you with peeling paint, rust spots, or costly repairs just a few seasons in.

At Nuvo Iron, we solved that problem by designing a fence system made for real Canadian conditions. Our 6-step coating process, applied to every piece of our residential iron fencing, ensures your investment stands strong year after year. And here’s the key: this protection comes standard – no hidden upgrades or extra charges.

Because in Canada, where harsh winters, road salt, and humid summers are the norm, a fence isn’t just decoration. It’s a long-term investment in safety, style, and peace of mind.

Built in Canada, For Canadians

We don’t outsource. We don’t cut corners. From welding the panels to powder coating, every step of the process happens right here in Canada.

  • No tariff worries or unexpected cross-border delays

  • Faster fulfilment with tight quality control

  • Made to meet Canadian building codes and real North American weather conditions

Our fences aren’t just imported products painted black – they’re true Canadian-made fences designed to thrive in Canadian climates.

The Nuvo Iron 6-Step Coating Process

Here’s how we make our fences stronger, longer-lasting, and truly ready for Canada,

Step 1: Cold-Rolled Steel

Every Nuvo Iron fence starts with cold-rolled steel tubing for unmatched strength and a smooth, reliable base for coatings.

  • Engineered for structural integrity

  • Smooth finish for better adhesion

  • Built tough for Canadian winters

Step 2: Galvalume Coating

We apply a Galvalume™ coating (55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, 1.6% silicon).

  • Fights corrosion longer than standard galvanization

  • Reflects heat to extend lifespan

  • Perfect for road salt, snow, and ice conditions across Canada

Step 3: Neutral Descale (Bonderite® Wash)

We submerge each piece in a Neutral Descale wash to remove impurities and enhance adhesion.

  • Eliminates residual acidity

  • Ensures coatings bond properly

  • Boosts long-term rust protection

Step 4: Zinc Phosphate Coating

A Zinc Phosphate layer chemically bonds coatings, reinforcing protection.

  • Strengthens each layer of defense

  • Provides complete surface coverage

  • Adds extra protection for Canada’s tough weather

Step 5: E-Coating Application

Standard on all residential iron fences up to 6’, our E-Coating covers every weld, corner, and edge.

  • Creates a seamless barrier against rust

  • Protects areas where corrosion usually begins

  • Proven to stand up to Canada’s wet and salty conditions

(Fence/gate sizes over certain dimensions may not receive e-coating – always confirm with our team.)

Step 6: Powder Coating Application

Finally, our fences receive a UV-protected black polyester powder coat, oven-cured for durability.

  • Fade- and chip-resistant in sun, snow, and ice

  • Low-maintenance – no flaking or bubbling

  • Signature Nuvo Iron satin black textured finish
