For 25 years, Nuvo Iron has built iron fence, railing, and fence and deck accessories trusted by homeowners, contractors, and retailers across North America. Here’s how it started, and why we’re just getting going.
How Nuvo Iron Got Started
Twenty five years ago, everything we owned fit in one truck. That truck ran next day deliveries before we had any business promising it.
Back then, the shop was half garage, half notebook math, sitting in the middle of flat farmland. Whoever drew snow plow duty climbed onto an open cab tractor with nothing between them and the wind.
One early project still sits with us. A banquet hall where our family put in the landscaping, an outdoor chapel, and, of course, the fencing. Seeing our product out in public for the first time, we don’t think we had ever been prouder. Back then we just hoped we would survive the year.
25 Years of Iron Fence, Railing, and Accessories
Now, 25 years in, the iron fence we started with sits alongside railing, fence and deck accessories, and countless other popular products.
Thousands of homeowners have them in their yards, contractors count on us to keep their installs moving, and retailers and dealers across North America still give us the highly sought after space on their shelves. It means more than any number on a report.
It’s also why we keep pushing forward instead of resting on what we have built. This year alone, we trademarked Ready Rail™, were recognized as Kent Vendor of the Year, and launched our website chatbot, Iron Assist to help customers get answers faster. Twenty five years in, we are still building.
Thank You to the People Who Built This With Us
To our retailers and dealers, you trusted the guys in the old photos before there was much to go on, and you’ve kept trusting us for 25 years.
To the contractors, you put your name on the line every time you install our product, and that trust is not something we take lightly.
To our team, some of you have been here 15 or 20 years, and you helped build this company from the tractor days to where we are today.
A Nuvo Iron Story Off the Beaten Path
Some of our favourite Nuvo Iron stories have nothing to do with fences at all. Like the time our founder, Carlos, was walking a beach in Colwood, BC, and stumbled across a set of driftwood sculptures so lifelike he had to find out who made them.
That chance meeting with local artist Paul Lewis turned into a donation of screws from Nuvo Iron, a small gesture, but one that stuck with him ever since and enabled Paul to keep creating.
That is the kind of company we have tried to be for 25 years. Paying attention, showing up, and finding reasons to care about the people and communities around our work, not just the product.
Here’s to the Next 25 Years
From that first truck to today, thank you for building the last 25 years with us. Here is to the next chapter, together.
None of this happens without you.
